Around 7:30am on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011, the Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department was interrupted from their morning housework for a report of an auto fire in the area of Greenbelt Road and Hanover Parkway, secondary to a personal injury accident. A crew of career and volunteer personnel responded on Engine 353.
Chief 35B checked up in the area, and reported a car run up onto the guard rail and on fire, in front of Roosevelt High School. The crew from Co. 35 confirmed there were no trapped victims, and quickly extinguished the blaze.
