Around 12 pm., Engine 353 was dispatched for an auto fire in the intersection of Greenbelt Road and Hanover Parkway. The engine arrived on scene to find an auto with the engine compartment on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and Greenbelt was in service in just under 20 minutes.

Units from Greenbelt and surrounding areas were dispatched for a townhouse on fire near the 51 court of Ridge Road shorly after 1900 hours. Engine 351 was first arriving and advised heavy smoke showing from the side alpha of Units L, M and N of 51 Ridge.

On Monday, December 6th, after a night of trying to determine how an engine company can be dispatched to a fire that they are 5.8 miles from, when the GVFD is only 3.7 miles away and doesn't turn a wheel, the Volunteers at 35 gave up and went to sleep.

On November 11th, 2010, at 10am, volunteer firefighters from the Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department stood in formation to pay their respects to the veterans of our armed forces at the City's Veteran's Day memorial ceremony, hosted by American Legion Post 136.
Shortly before 2100 hours on the 8th of November, Units from Greenbelt were dispatched to a Pedestrian struck on the O/L of 495 in the area of Baltimore Avenue. Chief 35 was the first arriving and confirmed that there was a single pedestrian struck, located approximately 25 feet off of the roadway....

On Friday evening, November 5th, the Greenbelt American Legion Post #136, held its annual Public Safety Awards banquet. Among the honorees this year, was Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department's Robert "Bobby" Harmon, Jr., who received Firefighter of the Year.

On Sunday, October 24th, volunteers from the Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department took engine 351 to the Laurel Elks Lodge #2283 to assist with a fundraising effort called Family Fun Day that the Lodge was hosting.
